Of course.

I wasn't scheduled to be on but one of the other guys couldn't make it, so I took his spot.

 

That's part of my truck driver audience set. No one else would understand.

 

So I called dispatch the other day because I had an hour and a half to kill and didn't feel like eating or taking a nap...

I already have low self esteem, do I still need to call the driver line?

I enjoy listening to hold music... especially when it's the same three bars with no lyrics repeated over and over and over...

I can justify my irrational decisions to logistics problems better when I know I'm being ignored.

My favorite thing to do after an extended period of time on hold with dispatch is to hang up and send a UNODIR message on the QC. Then put it in gear and ignore the next six messages that come chiming in as I drive down the highway with the stero cranked to the moon.
