Got unloaded and FM told me to put in for detention pay if necessary. They had me unloaded right at the 2 hour mark. Totally shocked me when the guy knocked on my door with my bills.
So it all ended up working out better than I thought it would. If the weekend crew wasn't so clueless I probably would not have been do cynical, but the whole process from preplan to misinformation on parking, etc. really soured me early on. -
Parked for the night at the Morton truck stop in Morton, IL.

Sleeping at the shipper tonight. Didnt plan to but yesterday eveing getting roads shutdown on me caused my schedule to be screwed up.

Is it April yet?

Nope if it was that would be awesome.

Effingham TA. Sat at shipper in OH over five hours so I'll jump through all the hoops and see if I have to make numerous calls and wait 3 weeks to paid again or if by some miracle it shows up in my pay. Place your bets.

Watched a Western Express driver backing into a dock put his trailer tight against another in the dock. He stopped when he heard the sound of the sides/open doors scrapping. Wanted to help but he had no clue what he was doing or how to remedy it so he unhooked, they took photos & had yard dog move it the last 20 ft.

Saw a Roehl truck with van trailer at Flying J this morning on my way to work (2 more days left!) exit 86, I-24 Ky/Tn line.

At shipper, stopping in Marshfield later to get bunk heater fixed. Hell of a time for it to crap out. I parked with tractor brakes not set. Still only idles for couple hrs then shuts off. So set opti idle and turned everything on to drain batteries that worked. Then it did keep starting up, but not as much as prostar auto start. At least not when it's -20.
