It's amazing what kind of information the border guards have. I had 2 hours and 46 minutes left when I reached the guard booth. The guard took a very quick glance at my passport and said, "You're not going to make it to Green Bay in 2 hours, Dennis."

It didn't really hit me until I was pulling out that he knew how much time I had probably even before I pulled up. I'm certain he didn't just read it from the Qualcomm because it wasn't in the big readout mode, just the tiny font.

Realistically this is coming everywhere. It's only going to be a matter of time and how the data is accessed on Elogs. I can think of several ways to do it now, and I'm guessing that they'll probably use two different models on each truck so you have a back up when the driver unplugs with WIFI.

Pilot in Oak Creek. Got an OS load, going to MO, so waited on permits, then got dark, now I have a feeling I'm stuck here until Friday because of weather.

You might make it out of Oak Creek. Bulk of storm is hitting southern MN and swing up through Marshfield and north into UP. Sitting at home 22 miles NE of Marshfield. We are forecasted to get 8-12 inches with blizzard conditions starting in during morning commute tomorrow.

Problem is it being over size though. Even a little snow or ice, no go.

Appleton! This place is tiny! And a ghost town compared to Gary and Marshfield, Lol.
Think I'll cook some supper and organize my truck paperwork and stuff tonight. I have too much time on my hands tonight.
Will planners try to avoid areas for a nasty forecasted storm? Or do they care? Haha just curious.

Love Appleton. Best place to get maintenance done. Planners could care less about weather. Will route you through a hurricane if necessary.

Small lounge, yeah, but we have smaller ones. Iron mountain, Ellenwood, and Grand Prairie all much smaller. Never been to Phoenix.

Haha! True. Wishful thinking on my part, I suppose ;)
and I don't mind appleton. It's nice, just different compared to being in Gary this afternoon. The last time I was here it was a skating rink. Sheet of ice all over everything. Glad it's warm and clear tonight.
