WineTaster: Welcome to Marshfield! Dress warm, it's cold here. Luckily this is our class's last week. We didn't get to do our cdl tests last Friday because of weather, but at least you won't have to deal with it. Have fun, it goes by quick. I think you get Dale as your instructor, not sure who the 2nd instructor is. Brian and Joe are doing the week behind us and Scott and Kevin are doing ours. But like I said, have fun. Make it an enjoyable experience and dress warm (supposed to be down to 0* by Thursday again).

Thanks guys and gals. I have been studying a lot so I think I should be ok for the book stuff. When I went and tested for my CDL - A learner's permit, I told them I wanted to test all the endorsements as well. The DMV lady looked at me over her glasses and said, "Let's see if you make it through general knowledge first." I sat down and passed general, air brakes, and combination missing only one question that I missed the NOT. Then she started loading the computer with the endorsement test. Passenger, then twins, then tanker. She said I could not test hazmat until I got my HME from the TSA done. When I finished, the other DMV lady said, "Wow, we have never had anybody pass all those in one pop. I will be glad to take you out for your driving test." So, I almost went back and took the hazmat after getting the HME thing done. Then I found out they will not put a hazmat endorsement on a learner's permit. I could test and it would go on when I got my full CDL. Well, I will have to transfer to SC from WI when done so it will not help me to test it now. I am in NC but Roehl would not hire from my area so I had to use my aunt's address in SC. So, I start with NC CDL - A learner's permit. Go get my CDL - A in WI and then transfer it to SC. FUN FUN!

I have a long drive to get there. They are allowing me to arrive on Saturday. We don't really have cold gear where I live. So, I am hoping I can get to a store on Sunday and find some better clothing. I have some coveralls, head gear and gloves but I want some nice long underwear. It is hard to order that kind of stuff off the internet.

So you're not coming til next weekend. I was under the impression you'd be here this weekend. Yea, they have fleet farm or farm fleet (can't remember how it's spelled) where you can get all the cold gear you've ever wanted. Check Wal-Mart too, it's up from the hotel, sometimes it has cheaper prices. Since you'll be here next weekend we'll already be gone and you'll get our instructors, Scott and Kevin. Down to earth guys and love to joke with ya. They definitely know their stuff, just pay attention to what they tell ya and you'll do fine.

    Good luck to ya!
