Barron, WI Cenex Hwy 8. What a day. Nightmare in Minneapolis, then get to shipper in Maple Grove only to get stuck twice. Guess nobody told these guys plowing the lot would be cool. Get loaded and 20 miles out of town only to come upon an accident and get re-routed. Lost an hour to that as well.

 

I got stuck under a trailer last night, just a couple of inches away from hooking the pin. Yard spotter said he would pull it out once I got unstuck. I really didn't want to mess with chains but I finally had to put two on and that was enough to get out.

But then the yard jockey was nowhere to be seen. So I got out another set of chains and just as I was tightening the last tire the yard guy pulled up. He pulled the trailer out for me and I quickly put the chains away.

Including the hour+ I waited for the receiving clerk to show up and sign my bills the whole affair was over 3 hours.

I don't have chains, maybe I should get a set and figure out how to use them. r yur from Roehl?

 

Iron Mtn. Getting PM done on truck, up to L'anse in morning then to Moorehead MN.

 

I carried chains 24/7/365. I never wanted to lose a load going west just because I didn't have chains. I kept them with me even through the summer. Once the fall gets here drivers start claiming chain sets thinking about the West Coast loads.

 

At Roetaw for the night. Got an alert my GPS is shipping today. Should beat me home
Got a couple idiot lights messing up the truck, so maint is having a go at it. Fuel Filter and Emission light, with a high fuel pressure error code on the qualcomm diagnostics. Changed the filter myself and still had the lights and code. OH well.
