Yes, they're Roehl chains. I needed to have them on the truck to cross the Rockies. I've never actually driven with chains, only ever used them in a parking lot.

TA in Russell, IL, I-94 exit 1. Stevens Point, WI delivery in the morning. Then home.

a 5/16 chain wrapped around the tire through a rim opening hooked back to itsself, gets you unstuck really well. Though i suppose van drivers dont carry that kinda stuff.
On sunday a USA truck was stuck infront of my truck so i couldnt leave. Did exactly as i said above and he was out in one shot.Meltom, DsquareD and jeepnut_nh Thank this. -
Was up in L'anse today and saw a couple vans. Either one you? Was on the way up there on 141 or so.

I'm here too.. In the lounge as we speak actually. Air leak and a frozen 5th wheel that needed attention.

Probably not, I came up from Menominee, MI. So up 41 over on 2. That coop was open today too, but I get a flatbed trailer back now after a couple of days of dragging a van.

Fort Smith AR. Helped a driver in Chicago and one in Columbus last week. Both stuck on ice already under trailer but couldn't move and yard dog wouldn't help. Took out my jug of kitty litter, poured some around each drive tire and out they went. Wouldn't leave home without it. One was so angry he had already busted his drivers door window.
-
Bought a bag of litter then forgot it at home. Definitely a must have.

If it wasn't for the chains I'd have room for cat litter. Since I have the chains I'll stick with that for now. Winter is almost over... right?
-
Technically spring isn't far away, but I don't believe it.goblue Thanks this.
