I gave my FM 10 days notice, but weekend dispatch sent me on a load to Indy for a PM delivery tonight. I live in Iowa and my appt is tomorrow aft. I suppose I could have talked to weekend dispatch about not taking this load, but thought I could make it back in time. I just don't think there's good communication about this stuff between regular FM's and weekend dispatch. Dentist appts are hard to get into. Made this one a month ahead of time, now have to reschedule.

Which is why you have to give constant reminders. It's not their appt, it's yours. They deal with probably a couple hundred drivers, and aren't going to remember everyone's appts. As far as weekends go, they are completely unreliable, among other things. They get something on the screen, see who's around and assign it.technoroom Thanks this.

Reminders make sense, I just didn't want to sound like pest with the constant reminders, but appears that's what I have to do.
-
Be a pest, don't worry about it, once a day sending a message is not really a pest. Once an hour is...

My FM is out this week so i plan on reminding that i absolutley have to be home on time. Just dont trust people that i ussaly dont deal with. Still waiting for my temporary FM to call me back.

Vince Lombardi Travel Plaza I95 NJ.....
supposed to have been home today for 6 off, last del no MTs threw a wrench in that.....
now they route me (as usual) over the GW Bridge through home to del in NH weds....then I go back home for the "rest" of my hometime :/
cheesy, very cheesy after 33 days out I get my home time split...alas, it is what it is, at least ill get to hang at the lake for the 4th!
anyways, ill be at the house by 7AM tomorrow, so ill be able to get laundry done so I can blast right to ME when I return after del.
have a great (and safe) 4th everybody! -
now I don't really care that Roehl has decided its too much effort to e-mail our pay stubs.....
but can we get a button to save the document to our computer? please?
kinda kills the "green" factor of the system if the only way I can keep a copy for my records is to print it on a dead tree
KF7WTV Thanks this. -
that paper will all become scrap and we'll haul it.... the new stuff too...

So after almost 2 years without dental insurance.....and I did not go for cleanings or any work during that time, maybe it was 18 months, I went to the dentist Thursday for exrays and an exam. I need a crown on one tooth...that I knew i did, a previous filling has come out, and two teeth need to be filled on the other side. Got my cleaning today and the hygeinist told me she was impressed and I was not in really to bad of shape. Good news is I haven't spent a dime there yet for all the initial stuff. My crowns gonna cost me about $450 out of pocket which is a bargain.
Great so I make the initial appointment tonight, about three weeks out, and then will have to return, hopefully during home time to get the permanent crown fitted. Hopefully mine will go smooth as far as getting me in the vicinity of home. Maybe they can give me a less time constrained load out of gary and just route me through home, i could care less if i get a day off or not, i just need to be there for the appointment time. -
Just passed my DOT physical today with a 2 year card and will be heading to RDTC with Roehl July 29th it seems. Wanted to thank several members here for their advice and support. go blue, the OSU, technoroom, Bayle, Scott72, KF7WTV and many more
