Does anyone want to school me on an EPU? Im in a van truck pulling a curtian side until my 'Ol girl gets out of the shop and I miss my APU! :( How do I know if this truck has auto start? How long can I run this truck on an EPU with the key in battery position for the radio and the heat on?
Im so lost. I'm about to search for the user manual! Haha

Depends on brand of truck and year if it has an autotstart. I can pretty much run the heater all night and radio without starting the truck unless it's really cold, keep the blower fan on low.
xt 22 I-65 TN. Pops BBQ, the Tennesean truck stop.

At Some Mobile mini truck stop near Sysco at Canton, MI. Miracle there was parking...1 and only 1 spot. Prostars have the auto start. If it is a white loaner, it prob doesn't. The switch would be on the counsel just above the brake valves...parking... says auto start stop. If have, flip ignition to on, then off and last push auto start switch up. System would then be on. Radio, bunk, all asessories will work will auto is engaged.

Not all Prostars. Many 2012 don't and older. Newer 12 and up yeah. And Shakers I think later 13 maybe and 14's. But they are different. You have to let it idle, put in high range then turn on cruise control, and let idle shut off on it's own.

2012 and 2013 international auto start would be above the brakes below ACCESS mount. If not there probably don't have one. And like Bayle said keep fan low and should power all night. I never use radio just have cooler plugged in. If battery got low it peeps and shuts off cooler. But I never have key on. Even now with my truck that has auto start I don't use it..

    Dark Squall Thanks this.
