Roehl Driver Check In Continued

Milwaukee getting loaded. Going to St. Louis for tomorrow. Called in and had them change the routing. Only a few extra miles to go down 43 to 39 instead of going around Chicago. Saves money on tolls too. Was told the change will be permanent too.

 

Ran my drive time down to an hour, parked for the night at Loves in Litchfield, IL. Waiting on sunrise tomorrow to leave. Gotta love overweight loads and the permit provisions lol

 

Saw one today at a Pilot. I just can't pay $30 for it. I'll have to try something else. I may buy some more wire and stick it up by the QualComm antenna in back of the tractor and give that a shot.

 

Pilot I-20 Jackson, MS. My 70 is about fried, so short days today and tomorrow. Headed to Green Bay. 72 and thunderstorms tonight.

 

Temps are getting to nice in MN. DOT had there road side inspection in Windom today. I rolled past when they had a hopper bottom pulled in. I had a Bull hauler following me so i wasn't to worried about getting pulled in. They would of went after the bull hauler instead i think.

 

Rolled into P Beach at 2000 to scale and park with 18 min left on 14. Place is stacked & packed but a guy pulled out of the last spot by the pond and I backed in. Louisville & Shelbyville KY then Gateway tomorrow night.

 

On a side note I passed a Minivan pulling a 3 axle horse trailer earlier. I wanted far far away from that accident waiting to happen. Vans rear bumpers was nearly dragging on the ground. Front tires barely in contact with the pavement. Not sure how he had traction to get the rig moving.

 

LOL, down to 3 minutes of my 14 hour clock! Parked at the McClures exit 140 I65 South. Sure hope this storm doesn't brig ICE.
