Well. I guess it's about time I checked in here. Picked up my truck Saturday in Ellenwood. Very nice 2011 prostar with 240k miles on it. Even though I'm national flatbed, they gave me a couple van loads to get me towards home. So I got to pull a parachute behind me loaded to 79,500 up I 85 to Wytheville, VA and then I81 to mountain top, pa. Good times. Lots of big hills. Lots of 8th and 9th gear, even had a 6th gear hill or two. Well, I'm now sitting in a pilot in drum, pa (exit 256 on I80) because I decided I could be helpful and haul something from out this way to the mogadore, oh drop yard and then head home. The load they sent me is a theft sensitive on, but since I'm a flatbedder, they never bothered giving me a trailer door lock or seals. So, instead of making it home tonight, I'm now waiting to find out what it is they want me to do. That's what I get for trying to be helpful I guess.
Pine Bluff, Ar. Crashing out at the cons. Picking up in town tomorrow morn and headed to West Allis for Wed.
Wish you luck with that.....so no real flatbed loads going to your home area, is that common where you live or just the place you happened to be at, at the time??
Made it a bit cheaper.Needed care credit card by GE capital To pay the rest. United Health Care good on meds.11.00 out the door. Took some pain killer and drank some soup. Its not the worst I ever felt...but not to good either. Cant take the V med, but am ok with the regular stuff.
That just happened to be what was available at the time and place. I won't be able to get hooked to a flatbed till I make it through another yard.
Back on road after week at home. Went to McAllen Tx. Saw the border. Picked up about 48,000 and headed to Milwaukee. At love's in three rivers.
sitting in the office all week, guess what. When you sit the in the corner, kind of behind the partition and leave the lights off people leave you alone. It's been highly productive.
