Launch tomorrow out of St. Paul Park. I was thinking maybe I wouldn't have a load until Monday due to the holiday weekend, but was pleasantly surprised. Take MT up to Iron Mountain and exchange it for a load of tiles going to Tulsa, OK. Very nice.

I finally got out of there. I ended up going to Fedex to get the cargo issues taken off. At the London T/S having some lunch and waiting for a pre plan.

Well I am ready to go home already. I get to the shipper and can't get under the trailer even with the suspension dropped because the yard jockey dropped the trailer to low.

Time to build up those arm and shoulder muscles with some cranking exercise? j/k, I tried that once and it was near impossible even in low gear (on a loaded trl). Made me wonder what good low gear even was.

Read something on another forum thread about backing up to the trl (with suspension lowered) enough to get the tractor frame under the front of the trl, then stacking dunnage between the frame and trl, then raising the suspension to lift the trl off the ground, then cranking the landing gear on the trl down until it touches the ground. Repeat with added dunnage until the trl is high enough to get the 5th wheel platform under it. Seemed like it would work if done carefully enough, remember safety is the cornerstone value.

I sat there waiting long enough to come up with a plan. As for cranking it up I would have done that but the trailers were so close together when I tried to do that the lever was running into the trailer next to me.

Made it home yesterdy evening. Love it when a plan works out. Planners kept me close by and got me home when I needed to. Granted I only had a hour left on my clock when I got home. But made it.
