Poor little guy... Had to wait 5 days for a trainer. I had to wait that long for contact with my fm.

My question is why anyone with kids that aren't old enough to be on their own would join this profession. One of the reasons I started this adventure is because I don't have kids yet and will be finished with otr as soon as I do.

Hey Ginger, im one of those w kids.I joined it bc 2 incomes bringing in 400.00 total, with us working different shifts so daycare wasn't needed, was destroying me. I wanted to end it all. This was plan b. Plan a being accounting. Lost that..came to b.

This job brings enough home, my wife wants to quit. Im not stopping her, though financially, im nervous.
My point, I joined this, bc I wanted my family to have a future.
I am here FOR my family.

That's a solid answer, thanks for the response on that one. Everyone does it for different reasons. I almost took a job as an OSHA inspector, company car, expense account, starting at 65K and 3 weeks of vacation. But I didn't want to work on the road, and my wifes hours at the hospital are unpredictable. If my kids were older, or my wifes job was different I'd be doing that now.

Well while waiting for a closer time to my apt to start my day.... I decided to check back in with driver recruiter for the trainer board. I am a no go at this time. Apparently inconsistencies in my log, and the two weather related equipment damagings this last quarter.
So no go for me, check back in a couple months.
    Wife quitting job.....bc of pregnancy.
    Im getting worried about money.
    No raise either.
