Ha.. It happens from time to time over here too. I usually welcome the break though because I'm burned out from running so hard up to this point. Not really this weekend though since I just launched out from home on Wednesday. Oh well. I'll be back to churning up the miles Monday.
Dropped in N Indiana Sat AM then ran 320 mi mt back to St Louis to get load to OH. Planners said it should be ready Saturday even though scheduled pickup was Sun AM. Get there at 1400. Shipper says not ready until Sun at 2100. Asked planners for something better. They say let us know your eta when loaded in 31 hrs. So their best plan was sit in E St Louis for 31 hours with no reset (11 hrs left on 70) then pickup at 2100 and run 500 miles all night to Zanesville OH for 10:00am unload and then sit again until midnight to get hours back to get home. Yes, there has to be something better....
...and they've know for a while that bunk AC isn't working and when the truck doesn't idle...I need to start drinking or get better planners.
At Marshfield for the second night. Truck goes to the dealer tomorrow then supposedly picking up a load here in Wisconsin to head home on Tuesday.
At marshfield. Truck was supposed to be ready by noon but now I'll be here until after dinner at least. Guess I might as well take in the safety meeting while I am here. Then headed home for Wednesday.
Not a happy camper with CS today. Was told to head over to shipper to get loaded. Show up at 1246 only to be told I have a 1900 appt. PP said no appt, early ok. How hard is it to get it right? Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't sit all day yesterday too. Now my clock will be fried by the time I get loaded.
