I'm gonna ask the question all the regulars on here must surely be asking themselves; "Heysunshine hasn't posted for four weeks. Anybody know why?"

So. A little update. I delivered that oversize on Monday and was empty around 1. While unloading, one of the beams when lifted off swung forward and crunched on of my sleeper extensions. Called into safety, all got sorted out quickly. Parked in a kroeger parking lot to wait for a load. I had asked to not be sent to Canada any more, but my fm really wanted me to go to canada. I told her to have the planners find something else. She told me to bounce over to Plymouth Michigan Atlas tube to pick up a relay from Atlas tube canada. So I get there around 4 and shut down for the night. Met the local driver who starts at 11pm who has three relays scheduled, and mines the second one. Cool. He asked for my lumber tarps after dropping the first relay so he could tarp my load which was already loaded. This is 6am. 3 pm rolls around and no one. I ask my fm what's up. She says he got hung up at the border and that there's another load available there if I want it that I can go pick up that will get my to Pa for my home time. I took it with some conditions, get loaded quickly, strapped quickly and even with an incompetent night dispatch to work with, paperwork pretty quickly. Had no issues getting across the border and ended up making it home at 7am.
The load was scheduled for delivery on the 3rd at 1pm in york, pa. I ask my fm when the relay driver would be around. She says there will be no relay driver and I have to deliver it myself. So, I leave at 6 30 am, get down there at noon ish get unloaded. Hit some horrid traffic in harrisburg but eventually made it home with 8 minutes left on my 14 hour clock. 583 miles and a 2.5 hour unload. Launching back out Monday morning for my last week. -
Home for the weekend, launch back out on Monday for two weeks. Let's see how the miles add up doing two week stints, I hope I can get at minimum 3000 to 3500 a week. That'll make me happy otherwise I may have to look for a better opportunity.
