Roehl Driver Check In Continued

So how much does Roehl pay for that? That's no fault of the driver right?

US 10w Waupaca Travel Center.

2 pm drop appt. but load wasn't ready until 11:15am at the Door Company. Stopped in at the terminal to have trailer given the once over (cuz you never know how long it was sitting there) and wouldn't you know it, guy says it hadn't been checked in awhile and there was some kind of air leak going on. So get that fixed and then go to scale only to have my swipe card not work....long story short, couldn't make the appt. and load was moved to morning. On the bright side, get to spend the night in my own bed!

 

I80E OH Tpk Commodore Perry Service Plaza for the night. Deliver in AM to Sam's in Boardman, OH then off to Akron for a relay back to Gary!

If you have an opportunity for a home every night union job making $35 an hour why in the world are you still driving OTR? Unless it just a seasonal thing. Even so you could do that then drive OTR in the off season. Truthfully, the only way to make any real money at Roehl is to be a trainer. I made more as a 7/7 trainer than I did as a full time flatbedder driving national. But even then I was making more than what you guys are making now. I was taking home $500-600 in 1998 at 23cpm. That was back in the good ol' paper log days though.

Had an interview today for one of the jobs. Think it went well but now gotta wait for call for the next step.

Effingham T/A. Columbus drop tomorrow then week off. FM is having a baby today and has 12 weeks leave so we'll see how it goes when I get back with her replacement players.
