Currently on my first dispatch into Canada, picking up a load of steel tubing in Ontario east of Detroit, then deliver in Crest Hill, IL. Staying overnight at the shipper; they thoughtfully provide guest WiFi.

Can't beat being home every night. Loving this! It's hardwork though, however I learned I'll be going to base pay soon after probation period and the pay increase is going to be amazing. So far this week, (week 1) I've put in 59 hours so I got 19 hours of overtime since I'm hourly based right now. Weekly paycheck.

As for my summary of Roehl, I had no major issues with them. Small things, yes. But they treated me well so I'm not going to complain about the small things all the people who quit do. Because when you get down to it, every company has their quirks.

Just make sure you got all ur $**t together before you leave, are you coming back through Detroit? Customs there can be a pain coming back in. It took me two hours to make it from that naughty club three blocks away from the bridge to the customs booth. Get an early start if you can! (Hows it smell there?) haha

Hey driver what did you get into? I'd love to get something local whenever I can!
And Roehl is a very good company to work for as large companies go for sure!

Thanks, yep I am working hard to ensure I have everything in order before heading back towards Windsor/Detroit. I am already loaded and will leave first thing in the morning...assuming I receive customs clearance from the broker by then. No way I am leaving the shipper before receiving that clearance. :)

WOW!!!!! A whole load of stuff/people and where they work has changed. I am sorry it has been so long since I've been on here, but the last time i talked to all ya'll I had gone to work for an O/O in Mooresville, NC. who hauls Werner freight. Well to cut to the chase.....2 months of work......screwed out of 2000 dollars of pay. So now i work for Eagle a O/O who pulls Werner freight, based out of AZ. is an Awesome company.....Went to work for them in late April and am now a Trainer.....and really enjoy it. I'm at the house in Fl. first time I've been home since April 8th......$2000 dollars is a tuff hole to dig out of......but it's all good now. working with my 2nd student, he's at the hotel in lakeland, Fl. while I'm at home-time, well if there's anyone still here that even knows who i am or cares reply and ask me or tell me something....like where's diesel......and what happened that almost everyones bailed on Roehl.
