I like multiple drop loads. I made more money on drop pay and tarp pay on this load than the miles paid.

Currently sitting somewhere in NJ. Trying to get a better load. Had a 900 mile preplan that was cancelled for a 400 mile one. They said it was because I was the only driver who hadn't started his day yet in this area. Since the load has two stops that deliver at midnight and 03:00. I thought I had started my day already, but I was parked so close to my delivery it didn't put me on driving. Called in and had safety change that. Now waiting to see what they are going to do with this one. Hopefully take it off of me. I'm starting to get tired of getting a 1000 mile load and then another 1000 mile load which usually has me ending up getting stuck in the northeast doing short loads and then getting 500 mile loads back to the midwest or wherever. I've been doing this for almost 4 years now and this seems to be happening more and more lately. I'm not expecting 1000 mile loads all the time, but when I'm suppose to be national and I get stuck doing regional work it starts to piss me off.

Be happy you're getting 1000 mile loads! I'm happy if I get 500 mile loads. You have no idea how many 150 mile loads I've done. Sometimes 3 or 4 in a row. Talk about murder on a paycheck. And yes, I'm on the national fleet too. Looking at my dispatch book right now. Last two loads 170, 190. Just got a PP for 540 for tomorrow. Last week had a 240 mile load that had me sitting 10 hours to get loaded . Tried to claim 7 hrs detention and got ZERO. Longest load I've had in 2 months is just under 900.

Are you both getting at least 2500 miles per week? 170 + 190 + 540 in a week would be rough. I would love 1000 mile loads.

    KingTrucker Thanks this.

Preplan from Dayton yard to Windsor Ont. 230 mi. Cross border late tonight and park in their lot (called them as plan said no parking, but they said no problem) unload at 0800. Never trust the plan or directions!

I normally get around 2500 or so a week. Could be worse I guess.
