Currently at a truck stop in Pennsylvania waiting to see what's going to happen with this load. They had me pick it up even though I told them I didn't have the hours to make it to the first stop. Went back and forth with someone who wasn't my fleet manager on if I could make it or not. I told him I could if I drove illegally. He shut up after that. And of course there was no one to relay it to. So I'm probably stuck waiting to deliver it tonight. I should also say the back to back thousand mile loads rarely happen and are getting to be a thing of the past. And with Roehl taking long loads away from drivers and putting them on the trains. Which I've had happen to me already. It doesn't help any.

1000 mile loads are nice, but if I can still average 450+ miles a day with a bunch of short runs, I'm happy.

Sometimes I just don't know what the planners are thinking. They gave me right around 22 hours to make it from Milwaukee, to western PA to the cons. It's roughly a 9 hr drive, a 10 hr break, lose an hr to time change, and rush hour in Milw and Chicago. Of course I was late, but only around 45 mins only to find out the shippers are gone for the day here every day at 1430. Guess what time my appt was? Yep, 1430.

Beloit J I39/90 Back row parked between two other Roehl. Arrived at shipper in Rockford IL to hear, "Another Roehl driver was here and got it an hour ago." I had a confirmed preplan and dropped at cons 6 miles away. After an hour of planners trying to figure out what happened they said nothing else tonight so just shut down. I was already here...figured it would go that way.

I also ended up grabbing Kardolmars trailer he dragged in with the busted doors. They just fixed it in Iron Mtn, it was still in the garage. Only mt van there, so had to get it for next shipper. Mech said it was supposed to go to Marshfield and be sold. Oh well... Not this week.

Seems like the planners have their heads in their ##### lately. We are also taking on loads we shouldn't. Runs are getting shorter seems like freight is slowing. Good freight anyways. I get anymore of this NYC NJ #### that's on roads not meant for our rigs I'm done. They need to get better Accounts and stop picking up these bottom of the barrel loads everyone else turns down.

Anyone else ever notice that the city of Green Bay is in Brown county? Just an observation.
