I'm very aware of that but it would not have solved the issue of driving in Twin Cities during rush hour. I'm not a complete idiot, at least not most of the time. ;-)

I know what you mean, I drive in the cities and I dont try to take a load after 2pm. If I do that, its going to take me forever to get home. I know tons of backroads so it helps.

When i drove for roehl these loads brought me home a lot of the times but I mainly dropped them in the yard.

16 miles from my pick up today and the load cancels. So I'm sitting in Menomomie waiting for another load that will take me home. Fingers crossed.

Picked up in Eau Claire and relaying at the terminal in the morning. Turning my truck in for PM and a short list of other troublesome items. My windshield decided to start cracking two days ago. So that made the list!

Anyway, at the Road Ranger Pilot in Oakdale. The ladies that work here are very nice and cheerful.

Sitting in Jackson, TN. Deliver to Fon Du Lac Monday. Decided to stay out and take a reset in WI rather than go thru the house and get home Saturday late and have to leave middle of night on Sunday/Monday. Don't think dispatch minded, since not going through the house shortened the trip about 200 miles.

He made it home about 4:30. It was a bit of a cluster this morning...he had a OD load that needed a NY thruway permit, but since there was a power failure at Marshfield, they couldn't fax the permit. After a few phone calls, everything turned out ok and he delivered an hour and half late. Princess #3 is happy because Dad is home for her brithday party tomorrow, so it's all good. :)

Yeah that power outage had me sitting after I emptied for 3 hours. You'd think we'd have backup generators for a company that size who relies so heavily on computers.

you mean those ginormous generators outside the windows didn't kick on, or did those fail also?
