Roehl Driver Check In

Finally got this load from hell delivered...now I wait for my next preplan...Had a wild night last night near Wytheville VA...Tornados, severe thunderstorms...ohh so much fun...

 

Now if it had been Yankee Stadium it would have been better! LOL

 

Dropped my load off in Chattanooga, Tn. No preplan. Just wasting my 14 away. I hate that.
I got here at 7am and pulled to the gate. There was a flatbed guy waiting off to the side but the guard said he must be sleeping, to go ahead in and wait for the guy in the dock to pull out. As soon as I pulled ahead I got the glare from the flatbed guy like I cut in line. LOL. The guy in charge said if he ####### to come get him, that he needed the stuff that is on my truck more. Hehe.

The guy in charge said the stuff I was carrying was always all over the place when they arrive, and that I had it well secured compared to most. Even the pallets they had stuff on were too weak to support the weight. They were all cracked and crushed. LOL. Oh well, it all got here intact. Now just waiting....waiting....waiting.

 

Delivered in Glencoe, MN this morning and out of hours on my 70 until tomorrow. Checked into the local Super 8 and gonna relax!

 

I am sitting in chattanooga too still waiting on a preplan...or any plan....

How do you like hauling for Roehl? How do you like pulling flats for them? From what I've read you seem to stay busy. I'm going to be starting school soon and just trying to gather some info. I'm going to apply to as many as i can. Thanks.

 

Well I got a preplan. Deadheaded up to Bristol, TN. Picking up tomorrow and delivering on Monday morning in Wausau, WI. I am staying on the shippers property tonight. I am so glad I decided to come here too. I was thinking about staying at the Pilot like 50 miles away. I walked into the shipping ofc when I got here to see maybe if they could sneak me in this afternoon. Hehe. Fat chance. LOL.

The lady goes on to tell me they dont even have my order yet, that I would be lucky to get loaded by noon. I would have started my day about 630am and wasted the whole dammed day! Whew! Now I wont start my day till whenever they have my load ready. Its gonna put me into the night driving like I hate, but Ill be able to make it Saturday night to Neenah and get to reset my hrs for the week.

Oh well, dinnertime, and of course Netflix.

I am still sitting at the cons in Chattanooga...I think I need to sacrifice a virgin or something in order to please the trucking gods...this sucks balls I hate sitting...I have a feeling I am going to be late for opening formation on saturday if this keeps up....
