So I am in Gary for another reset. Today was not a good day. I bent my driverside fairing this morning. I was picking up at Marshfield doors and it was like an icerink with Marshfield getting some snow last night. I was spinning the tires trying to back under the trailer and about a foot from coupling it the dammed tires grabbed gravel and lunged backwards. I jammed the brakes but a second too late. Crunch. I was so pissed. It was already bent and slated to be replaced so I am not too upset but still not happy about it. I am sure saftey will call it preventable but I hope not.

I was also given a 1100 mile load with onl 14 hrs left on m 70. I called and they said I didnt send my hrs in for the 27th. I checked my qualcomm and yes I did. I tell them and they say sometimes they dont come through. What good is it then I say. So hbe tells me if I reset in Marshfield I can get up at 8pm tomorrow and run through the night. I say if I run to 6pm tonight and reset I can start tomorrrow at 4am. He goes, oh yeah go ahead and run to Gary then. rrrr. Weekend dispatch is a joke! Ok, I have vented.

Time for food and sleep. Maybe when I wake up it will all have been a bad dream.

Stopped in Gary today for a shower and Walmart trip. Now I'm sitting next to the consignee in Plymouth, IN for a 11 am delivery tomorrow. I had from saturday morning till 11 am monday to go 382 miles. Oh well. Slow weekend.

 

had Army this weekend...did that and a couple other things I needed to get done...I QC'd dispatch to show me available at 2200 tonight and got a message back that there are no planners the rest of the night and to call my FM in the morning to show availablility...

 

Ya, I learned that the last planners work on Saturday. They leave by noon Central time. So if you are going to change time availability do it before then.

 

Ya I should have known better...I always leave monday morning...or I usually get my preplans on saturday when i come out of the house....meh...whatever...I will just QC in the morning and get a good nights sleep tonight...

 

Shame on your FM, if you were missing hours they shouldn't have dispatched you before asking for you to resend the hours. And just out of curiosity are you running paper or eLogs?
