I have seen Gary like that a couple times, they were using curtiansides for a wall. I guess it is back to "Forgetting" to fuel at Gary unless I have a couple extra hours to kill, it took me an hour and 20 once when they had to detour up and forced everyone through to island.
-
When I was there earlier, I walked up to Eric and said I called into maint and need tires replaced. What do you want me to do? He walked me over to the tire guys and they said get in line (there were 3 inline at the time). I bypassed the line (drove where the tanker fuels up at) and came around to the door. The fuel island was 3 deep with another guy blocking the entrance behind me. Had to ask him to move so I could back up and pull around.
Oh, and some guy who was getting a new truck block fuel lane #1 because he was in talking to the parts guy totally forgetting about his truck. @$%#&^@$%&
Yes, its a stupid idea and I doubt I will be stopping there if I don't have to. -
You still here? I'll be here tonight. Going to heat up ribs now.
-
Yep pretty much.

Picked up a relay in Gary and had to go out the gate and come back in to get in line for fuel. Waited 45 minutes already today in line here. Now get to do it again.
-
That stinks. You just left. It's a cluster up there.

The funny thing is the guys who want to skip it just run over the scale. I've seen 4 guys scale when they're empty in the last 30 minutes. It's not like the blockades are really going to make everyone have to come through the fuel islands. And I can't get over how slow these guys are.
-
I only see one guy working it and all the others are waiting without stop signs in front of them. When there are that many trucks waiting and you don't have a stop sign you need to pull out. There's close to 20 trucks there now.

At the Roehl Truck Stop in Gary. I talked to the other driver in our rotation and he said the congestion flowed out into the street when he got here. Geeze. It was only 3 deep when I came in. I was in lane 4 and it went pretty quick, it only took me about 35 minutes. Lol! So our FM, well she is over 2 of us, gave us one of the 2012 Internationals to put in our rotation along with the KW. Why I dont know...the 07 Freightliner we had only had about 400,000 on it. My FM said they needed to move it to another dropyard. I was sad to see it go. It was the first truck I was in when I started EVO 3 back in July. I have a delivery tomorrow at 1200 in Milwaukee then I should be heading to Marshfield to the qualcomm replaced because for some reason they put it right in front of the shifter so it ended up getting cracked. I am in truck #8770 so if you see me around dont hesistate to introduce yourself.
