At the Roehl Truck Stop in Gary heading for Tomah, WI. I was looking for Mogadore yard master. I seen his truck in the shop but I couldn't find the driver...must be goofing off somewhere. I did talk to Treefork and met his student. While we were talking the infamous "Cheesecake Guy" came through the terminal. Of course I had to get some after reading about him on here. Man that stuff was pretty tasty!

Delivered in baton rouge this morning and the up to zachary la to
Pick up at the GP mill. For any van drivers who have been with roehl
More than two years you will be happy to know that GP is totally overhauling
The drop yard. All new asphalt and cement runners for the landing gear and nice
Wide rows ! You new guys have no idea how bad this place was. Heck when it rained
You could get stuck in the mud and the rows where very narrow, it was a challenge to find
Hole and drop your empty. Very happy about the improvement ! :)

Finally sitting in Gary. Got in at 12:30 so hopefully after tomorrow I can get back onto a Day schedule. Of to Neenah, where my truck probably won't be fixed, and then to a nearby truck stop to collect layover pay on top of the detention pay I should get for this load. Sat at the shipper for 3 hours before they even started. Should get 1 hr of detention, even tho I deserve 2.

Are you on the road with a trainer yet? If so, what kind of truck are you driving? How many days did you have to wait and what did you do during that time?

I have an appointment to do my third party test at 12:00 today.Must amit, I'm a little bit nervous. :biggrin_1square:

Getting ready to head out of Gary for Newark for a new delivery time of 1200 Monday. Got to get 6 hours in with student to be a training day. so we are going 300 miles today. Short day. Finding out its not as fun sitting in jump seat as I thought. He drives great, but I want to drive too! :) With the miles we have left and miles he's required to run daily, I don't get to drive at all this weekend!
