Sitting at the Holiday in Eau Claire next to my favorite shipper, Menards Distro. Actually, was in and out in 2 1/2 hours. Much better than the 6 hours the last time.

Long Island is easy. If it is that Bluelinx place it is right off the LIE but no where to park. There is a rest area on the LIE I used to park at so I didn't have to deal with early morning traffic. Long Island is pretty easy NYC pay if you can get in early and don't have to fight traffic both ways. A job site in Manhattan or a three stop ceiling tile load that goes to three different boroughs is a little more interesting.

Or a door load with a stop in Newark, 4 stops in the boroughs, three stops on Long Island, a couple of stops in the way to Boston, then 2 final stops in Bean Town, BIG FUN!!!

Someone must have really liked you to get that one. If you had a student along he probably bailed out and took a bus home.

At the Petro in Perrysburg, OH. I should be at the last service plaza on the OHTP but a Conway driver lost one of their doubles and spilled some hazmat so they closed 78 at Exit 7. I was lucky because I got off to get fuel at everbody's favorite Pilot, Exit 7 off 78, right before they did close it. I didn't feel like dealing with the mosh pit and going up 173 (where everybody was being routed) so I went back about 10 miles to NJ-31 and took that up to 80. And that Pilot was cluster #### as usual and it was 2300! I think only 2 pumps were open because there were drivers in the other ones just hanging out like they were parking spots and the congestion was flowing out into the street! Bozos! I mentioned it to the staff and the girl got pissed and started yelling in the loudspeaker for drivers to leave. It was funny because a couple of them actually did leave after that. Lol!

It's Friday so I'm home! Leave at 0100 on Monday.

Gotta get my annual eye exam tomorrow. I might even hand wash the truck since its supposed to be 67 tomorrow.

    Happy Bunny Day!

So, aside from being home every weekend, do you like your dedicated account?

I'm finally feeling like I'm hitting my stride on the dedicated account. But let me be honest, its hard work. Everyday this week was a 14 hour day. When I was National, I rarely worked a full 14 hour day. But the dynamics are different. There is always another load waiting for me and I'm usually preplanned two loads in advance.

    skyviper73 Thanks this.

Delivered on Long Island. Fan units. Got there, they asked me how I unloaded them... I told them I don't, how do they? :) Two 2x8 boards and slid each piece off the side including one 560 lb piece. Crazy. 6 guys total though. Dropped rest of load in Bensalem and picked up relay from same to Appleton. Unfortunately it was tarped backwards, so we had to retarp it. They had the rear tarp over the front.
