as much as I have said it Roehls truck they can do with what they please...if they put a camera in my truck I would start looking elsewhere.......

Talked to a reefer FM today.....I am thinking I am going to change divisions...I can get the same or more miles, with less shorter runs and more opportunities to see the little ones.....what I give up in return is the fact that I will spend more time in the east (gee already do that) won't see west much.....but seeing the kiddos is more important than seeing the Rockies...LOL..

Oh in addition....i am a little frustrated...I got a 10 mile load out of the oak creek yard to deliver at 11am...already delivered it....but what is making me grumpy is the fact that I had to start my day to deliver it but now I am sitting at the loves empty waiting on another load...when I could have sat for another 8 hours and had a reset...grrr:biggrin_25510:

Launched out of the house this morning to pick up in Saginaw. Its 217 miles from my house and the load planner sent it out with 77 paid MT miles. Yeah, that is not gonna fly and my FM agreed. Assured me he'd take care of that. On the dedicated fleet you don't get paid for the miles home unless you have a load. However, I shouldn't have to drive two hours for free when I leave the house either.

Anyway, I'm at the Pantry TS in Rapid River, MI. Its been over 20 years since I've driven through the Upper Penisula. I forgot how beautiful the scenery can be along the lake coast. Coincidently, we had just decided over the weekend to rent a cottage near Manistique in August for a week.

Also the first time I've driven the big truck over the Mackinac Bridge. $25 toll and its not in the PrePass system.

I go over that bridge and through the U.P. about twice a month, it is nice up there. Think I have found enough places to park up there to make it a nice laid back enjoyable run.

The UP is nice...except for the mac toll...but its all good in the end...

Lantern...I would be much happier with that 600 mile load than a 355 mile load or the 10 mile load that just fd up a good reset....
