Well this week just keeps getting more interesting. Apparently, I was video taped on the 95 South of DC yesterday morning. They claim I was following to close and doing 64 in a 55. I've asked to see the video because I just don't believe it.
I never speed and I NEVER follow to closely, especially when I was pulling 46k in the box. According to the time they are reporting, it was also during rush hour.
I actually find it a little funny because if you ask anyone who knows how I drive, they all think I'm 80 years old. My wife won't even let me drive us anywhere because I never drive over the speed limit.
I've asked to see the video and was told that they'd see what they could do. I'm finding that response a bit suspect. I guess I'll wait and see.
Anyway, I'm in Troy, Il with a Big Lots delivery in the morning on the other side of St. Louis. Then headed to Tyler, TX. -
i thought we were governed @63??? just sayin

I should also point out that my FM admitted that she actually hadn't seen the video either. I asked if the truck was blue and she didn't know. If its red, then it obviously wasn't me...LOL!

Rookie mistake, she shouldn't have even addressed you until she had all her ducks in a row. Unfounded accusation, no matter how innocent, erode driver/dispatcher relationships.thelastrebel, TheTank and Treefork Thank this.

LOL, can't remember the website, but there is some group that video tapes truck drivers who tailgate other vehicles. Saw a few of their videos on youtube. If you actually watch most, not all, of the videos the driver usually has a car change lanes in front of them and the driver takes his time slowing down or allowing the gap to increase. Also, most of the videos appear to be during or close to rush hour wherever they were video taped. Not an excuse, just saying.
Now, I'm not saying that drivers, Roehl or otherwise, don't tailgate just that these "videos" are suspect until put into context. -
I hear that. There's plenty of times you could video tape me following too close because a car pulled in front quickly and it takes a second to back out of it unless you're just going to mash the brakes.

Oh yeah, Spiceland, IN at the hook. Going to Columbus tomorrow then hopefully get a load home. My daughter turned 6 today. Party is Saturday.
