What's terrible is you're ready, willing, able & away from your home, but won't make a dime for the inconvenience you're dealing with.

I think they need to adjust the law concerning DOT hours. It should have a clause that drivers are to be paid $5 an hour FOR EVERY hour their truck is in the shop while they're away from home.

It would accomplish drivers actually doing pre-trips, owners not handing out POS to drive, and the motoring public having better equipment on the roads. Also a driver could make $120 a day for his wasted time to support his family.

Part of the problem is this truck did not get checked out by maintenance before I got it. I just met the other driver at a customer and we swapped out. Normally, they get a little PM between drivers.

I actually think its kind of a funny situation since the load planner screwed me out of my home time. I'm sure he thought he could get away with it because my FM is on vacation. Now I'm sitting and so is the freight.

Also, to add insult to injury, they can't find a fuel pump for it today. Marshfield's inventory listed two in stock, but they aren't on the shelf. Kenworth and Cummings dealers are closed till Monday. I'm sure they're going to try to give me a loaner which I will refuse.

I'm pretty sure this is a Blume truck as well. It has the same GVW decals on the side as my old blue truck. It does have an APU and is a 13 speed.

I've got home twice on 14/7 in 6 months on time. Raising hell will fall on deaf ears and wont guarantee that you be home on time after. My 2 trucks I slip into always have problems and being 640k plus probably have to deal with them a while longer before they get swapped out. It sucks, sitting on maintenance issues sucks just something that's going to happen sometimes
