    Sitting at home until Wednesday.

That's the truth right there. If I'm not sure my load is legal I'll scale it. I've gone back to a shipper to get some taken off. Normally I'll also keep checking my gauge while I'm being loaded in case they start to put to much weight towards the front.

That is one of things missing in the Prostar that we have in our rotation, a suspension gauge. Which sucks because that truck is almost 2,000 lbs ( I scaled both of them mt and full of fuel) heavier than they old school Freighliner we have.

Y'all should have a suspension gauge. You cycle through the hud. Its digital, not analog.

At the AM Best Citgo in Kings Mountain, NC with no trailer. I delivered to the Walmart DC this afternoon in Shelby and once again no mts. I think the only Roehl trailers there were the ones another driver and myself dropped. All I know is today was a day I wish our trucks were governed at 67. Trying to pull 44,000 on that hilly and crooked *** road, 77, was ridiculous. :biggrin_25510:

Its all good Lyle, I just got a call from dispatch while I was asleep. I have to go pick up a load in Greenwood, SC they are trying to save once my 10 is done. Its pre loaded and they told me I can bobtail there. I am supposed to be relaying it to another driver tomorrow.

The basics of trip planning. 1.) Get a truckstop guide book 1st chance you get, the book is a listing of truckstops & rest areas in the U.S. 2.) Review York routing when you get dispatched, take the trip miles given & divide by 50 to figure approximately how long it will ale you to get the load from point a to point b, then using York guide book plan where to stop the first day, (I can cover 570 miles in one 11 hr day). Always have a back up plan for stopping just in case you hit unexpected delays (construction, slow traffic, etc). If you get a Rand McNally Deluxe Road Atlas ( larger print, laminated pgs, & spiral bound) it is really pretty easy to use & understand.

In the fleets favorite place...Gary....rolled in and pulled up to the fuel pump when to start pumping fuel and the breakaway just broke away:biggrin_2556: so I went in told maint...drove around the building and pulled up to another pump and got my fuel....
I washed my truck too...I have killed many an insect on my way from PA...going to Wisconsin tomorrow...don't have to be at the cons til Monday AM...so I thinks I will get there and make a phone call and go hang with my kids for the rest of the day...then back to the truck to go to the cons in the am..
