Still in Gary. Did our hands on training today. Hopefully going with a local trainer tomorrow.

I thought "what the heck did I get myself into?" But after i had my "coil" chained suicide to the bed I felt like I accomplished something huge. Lantern got two concrete blocks to chain and did an awesome job on them.

I'm feeling more comfortable with this. Just gotta get over tarping. Used muscles today that I haven't used since high school lol

I try not to scan any more than 3k a week because the taxes seem to eat up a much bigger chunk of my paycheck than they do when I scan 2600 - 2800. Must put me in a higher tax bracket or something.

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Yeah that's what it does for me. I scan about 23-2600/week. Then do the next weeks. Usually it works out so that when I go home for home time ill run up to the pilot closest to my house and scan it. That way I get a paycheck coming out of the house even though I was home 7 days.

I also go to the ta on my home time...I like the chicken Alfredo

At the Wilco Hess in Toms Brook, VA. Swapped loads with another drive here. He was actaully taking mine to another driver so it can make it to the cons for a 0700 delivery in Woburn,MA. I have a 1000 appt to deliver in Pittson, PA tomorrow.

Tarping is easy in the summer, just hot as hell. Now wait until winter and you have to try doing it with a frozen tarp and frozen fingers. :biggrin_2559:

That's what I was told lol. I'm glad the trainer showed us how to get a lumber tarp in top of a 13'6" load without a forklift around.

How? You should never have to lift a lumber that high. Not safe.

Basically unrolling it on the catwalk. Tossing part on top. Then get on top and pull it up little by little. That way your only pulling maybe 50lbs at a time. Then unfold it the rest of the way on top of the load
