Passed Lantern going into Russellville on
My way out. Was going to try for Smiths Grove, but ended up at Russellville Truck Stop. -
Gotcha. I know they ship out plywood and lumber from the gp in my home town. Just wasn't sure if it was a load going to that gp or a load from gp in general.
Either way it gets me home.

If you don't already, it's time to start carrying a case of water with you. Stick 2 or 3 bottles in your cooler so they are ready when you need a drink, and make sure you replace them as you use them. When it's that hot, it's a good idea to take a 5 min or so break in between doing things and drink a bit of water. You'll feel better in the long run, and you won't get dehydrated/sick.Perpetual, DrtyDiesel, notezbngrn71 and 2 others Thank this.

At the Love's in Marshall, MI for the night. Have to go to bed early because I have a pick up at 0100 in Albion.
Was at Gary last night for repairs and they fixed everything except my A/C but its working right now. For how long, who knows. The clutch on the compressor is going out and because I have a KW they have to order the part. -

..... Its 115* where i am with no wind blowing. I un-tarped, folded it and put it away, took off all my chains, and put away everything but one strap. I was beat, hard to breathe, had to get something to drink quick.......
When in the heat, especially that hot, you drink a bottle every 15 minutes and take a break every 15. I lived in Phoenix for 14 years. Heat over 110* will kill anyone not prepared for it. Hell over 100 for some, but I can say for me when I lived there I was ok up to 105. After that it was HOT! Especially in the summer now that you are flatbed, like Cheryl said, you need a case of water with you at all times. Never know when you are going to need it.
