Sitting at the Flying J at exit 16 off I-94. Loaded at Feralloy Midwest in Portage. 4 1/2 hours of waiting! Put in for my 2 1/2 hrs of Detention, but I have a feeling I won't get it.

Oh, and when I pulled out to finish tarping I had 45 minutes left on my 14 hrs. Finished (ok half finished) it and then got paperwork and drove off to the J. FOUR + hours!!! I've never had it that bad there!

    Finally home.

Truck had 23,380 miles and the blower for the heat and ac in the cab quit this morning. The sleeper fans work fine but nothing coming out of the dash vents. Hoping I can take the truck to a international dealer in Jax while I'm home.

    1. My FM is away on Military duty. So new FM...
    2. This location doesn't have appts, but gives you appt times just to make sure they don't schedule to many. My time was 12. That makes me lose one hour right there if Roehl plays the game.
    3. I have a feeling this place has this happen more than not, so I have a feeling it will be an issue. IMO

Sitting at the Bosselman (Flying J) in Big Springs, NE. I will be home tomorrow morning, then I have Sunday off, I deliver Monday in Loveland, CO, then I have Tuesday off, and hit the road again on Wednesday. Delivering in the middle of hometime. My FM said he was going to try to find a driver to relay it to on Monday, but what's the difference of driving an hour to Commerce City, CO to relay the load, or driving a little over an hour to deliver it. I said I would just deliver it. Besides, I'll drag my wife along and she can experience the joy of waiting at a Sam's Club warehouse waiting to get unloaded. Maybe she will wear skimpy clothes and knock on my door and offer to polish my chrome. :yes2557: (Get your mind out of the gutter! What are you,,, a truck driver???) LOL :biggrin_25517:

That is the exact thing that happened to my tractor and many others from what Ive heard. That's why mine was at the dealer when yours was. Hope you can get it fixed quickly.

if they give you an appointment time, then it's an appointment time. once they specify a time, the clock is set to tick. did you send in the detention message before you left?

none of the waiting counts until two hours after the appointment time. from then on, it's $5 per completed half-hour until they pull the crane away from your loaded trailer.

shouldn't matter if your regular FM is away. if the money doesn't show up, take it to your active FM first, then if nothing happens, start going up the ladder, starting with your FOM.

whether feralloy pays roehl any money shouldn't be an issue. detention money comes from roehl as part of your compensation. it's up to them to get reimbursed from the customer, not you.
