Sitting at a little stop in Eau Claire, headed west of The Cities tomorrow with a small load of steel to be galvanized. (maybe 10k). Loaded and had 30 minutes left in 14, looking for parking nearby and passed a truck stop at end of street from shipper (saw it as I was turning), got to a stop by I-94 with about 7 minutes to spare. I'm beat, since Sunday I've logged 35 hours on duty/driving.

Getting the "driver's itch". Time to get rolling again. I have a load to Kansas City for a Thursday morning delivery, (575 miles). It's loaded tonight, but I'm going to roll tomorrow so I can hang with the family one more evening.

Delivered at ABC supply in Roscoe, IL yesterday. Only took 6 hours to get unloaded. Picked up at charter steel in Saukville this morning and delivered to Medina, Ohio at 5. Now I'm at the TA on I71 exit 209. Supposed to be home but where I park my truck is about 25 miles south of here and I only had 2 minutes left on my 14 when I pulled in. If only the consignee didn't make me sit for almost 2 hours before they even started unloading me.

On another note, when I picked this curtainside up from marshfield door, one of the latches was broken so I couldn't keep the rear of the curtain shut. I got it fixed in marshfield and then I pulled around to scale and slide my tandems. Grab the handle to pull in the pins, and it falls off. So I had to get that fixed too. It bothers me a little that this trailer was dropped off there and it most likely already had these problems.

I think I've gone just about as far as I can with Roehl and still keep my sanity, so over the last several weeks, I too have begun to look into other companies. I will, of course, try to give it a few more weeks to see if things start to look a little better, but I'm going to clean out my truck while I'm home in case things keep heading down and I need to jump ship quick, fast, and in a hurry. I can say that I really hope it doesn't come to that.

This trailer was pretty bad. But I picked up a preloaded in Ghent with a broken landing gear before. Roehl had to send someone out to remove it. Then trying to find somewhere that would help us switch out the trailers when it came time for me to relay it was fun. The interesting part was I got a talking to about how the load was going to be late because I was at the shipper to long as if it was some how my fault that their trailer was a pile.

I'm clear when I have issues with things beyond my control.. I'll call and send a qualcom message saying I'm not taking responsibility for this.... But on the same hand I do take full blame when it is.. I just got done with a home depot load that was that way.. I was 2 hrs late for stop 1 and 4 hrs late for stop 2 totally not my fault I had 45 min to go 36 miles on rush hour it took 2 hours....

At Wilton Travel Plaza off 87 about 20 miles from the cons. I was bored and the truck was going to be back in the afternoon so I told my FM to bring me out last night. I really wanted to get this delivered this morning but running 30A and 29 really slowed me down. I had a little under 2 hours left on my 14 when I stopped but I really didn't want to roll the dice on this one because there is no parking avaiable at the cons in case I get into a jam and happen to run out hours.
