They did hair on my random in december. I hope i dont get another anytime soon. Hair under my arms won't be enough yet. Hate to see where they try next since i keep my hair really short and hardly have any on arms and legs.

At the terminal in Iron Moutain. I really love doing my 10 here. Nice and quiet. There are only 4 other drivers here. After I deliver at 0700 I have to pick up a relay here and take it 126 miles to Larium, MI.

They are in Perrysburg OH again tonight, still headed to WI. While I'm glad that they get to spend some time together, I really start to miss them while they are gone...

Back at the Hook in Saginaw. Sat for 30 minutes and decided to drive back here to sit. Of course, once I get here I get a message, "Head to the Detroit Area." Well, where in the Detroit area? Getting ridiculous! Can't wait to my FM is back. These past few weeks have been a nightmare! You go from being near the top of someone's board, to just another truck on someone else's board while they cover.

In Ghent, KY. thought I was getting like steel bars or pipes, but it was stainless steel coils.

Luckily I had just enough coil racks. I got three coils, 13k, 13k, and an 18k.

I got this load sent to me yesterday after sending my empty call. Night dispatch sends me this load even though I never got a pre-plan, I was thinking oh well, its miles, I'm not gonna complain. So I send the load confirmation but forgot to check my pickup appt time and when my 10 hour break started.

So I wake up this morning at 4, I have a 0740 appt. I was only an hour and a half away and id leave at 530. So I go to log on duty and start my pre trip but instead, I realized I had an hour left on my 10. So I call dispatch and tell them I might not get there on time. He tells me its a standing appt and their not going to call the customer unless I know I'm gonna be late. Well.....that's why I called dude!

Anyway. I remembered I could split log, I had 9 hours in the sleeper, ill just get two hours in the sleeper while waiting to get loaded at the mill. I tell dispatch this so I won't be late, he says, "you only have one more hour left on your 10, you don't wanna split your time, always do a full 10."

I say okay, then hang up. Then I do my pre trip and go to the customer. I split logged and guess what? I was legal, and I made it on time for my appt. I sat for two hours in the sleeper taking a nap before they called me anyway. It worked out perfect.

Just thought id share this. Yes I disobeyed them but I wasn't late and didn't have the customer upset. To me that's good customer service. Lol

Exactly. I was in Springfield, il. The cover FM sends me a message "head to Gary".....um OK. Lol

She didn't send me a route so I thought id do what a real driver would do, make their own route haha. I told her I was almost empty. I get no response, so I ended up grabbing 60 gallons from a pilot and then filling at Gary since that's most likely where they would have me fuel anyway on my way there

I ran over 200 miles with no routing the other day, got my routing just as I got to the Shipper LOL. As far as telling an FM I am going to split log or most other things, I have found it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission LOL

    DrtyDiesel and skyviper73 Thank this.

Ghent is pretty forgiving for late appts, but if you show up early, don't expect to get in early. :)

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
