Oh, Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers both on the road and off this weekend. We do this job to provide for our families and the sacrifices we make are many. I love my family. I like my job. I won't be doing this forever, just until I win the lottery, or I die. Whichever comes first!:biggrin_2556:

In Gary. It's windy. Waiting on a relay and a student. Didn't know I was getting one. Surprise!

In appleton, delivered in appleton, went to the shipper in Neenah and they said I had no appointment time and that it'll be 6 hours to get me in the door. That sounded like a rough estimation also, then the other Roehl driver leaving said they took 3 hours to load him. My 14 was counting down I had 10 left so messaged my fm and get it tomorrow afternoon. Two stopper in CT and MA yay I hate New England

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Got my relay, now just waiting on student who like me, was unaware that we were meeting so soon. lol

Then it's off to Birmingham with some steel posts. I guess when it's going to be in the 90's up here all week the best plan is to head way south. :/

At a Marathon Truck Stop off 75. I got to put my Hazmat endorsement to use this morning on a load I picked up in Appleton. Delivered in Marinette, WI then ran up to Escanaba, MI to pick up a trailer. US-2 was definetly a good time with the heavy rain, fog mixed in with a little hail toward the end. I have to drive off 300 miles to deliver in Willard, OH. My appt is 1300 and have been told sometimes you can be waiting a while to get unloaded at this place. I hope that is not the case tomorrow because I am heading home after this load.

I'm at the BP on the US-2 and I-75 in Michigan. Fed the birds now it's time to feed myself. Then off towards Columbus, Ohio in the morning.

They are in Newport News VA tonight, OH toll road last night and the UP of MI the night before. They have been out 15 days today, so they should be headed home with the next load.

Was that the one with the design on the side? I thought I saw a hazmat sign on it. I know I saw a hazmat sticker on one of the trailers. Had a driver talking about talking one with the design.

However I lost my load to CA. The shipper had to rework the load which made the planners push delivery out until Monday causing them to relay it in Appleton. Fun sitting for a whole day on that load...

After they told me to relay they assigned me another preloaded at Ahern fire systems. 3 stop load. They really are giving me loads that make me go how the heck am I going to secure this? Pipes plus 4 small crates on the nose them big boxes on the top of the pipes (card board like the pumpkin boxes at stores). I threw one strap around them then belly wrapped all the tiers then threw a couple straps over. Threw a strap over the top of the 4 crates then X in the front. Hopefully it's good I redid it a couple times..

After I finished I saw I had 2 hours left and not many places that I know about on 41 to shutdown. So I just looked on google maps and saw a marathon travel plaza within a mile so I rode over to it.

Tired as heck. They redid my first load this morning twice do unstrapping then restrapping then doing it again, finding out they are relaying it then having to do the load. Not a lot of driving today but alot of climbing and physical work. Who knew just throwing straps can be do challenging sometimes. Plus this wind up here in WI is kicking.
