I wasn't far from Mic last night when the storms hit. Just down the 81 in Harrisonburg, VA. Woke me up and thought the truck was gonna get turned over since I am bobtailing. Crazy wind, rain, hail and lightening. Kept waiting for the CB to come to life and report a tornado warning. This morning tons of people without power and phones. My shipper is one of them, so I sit waiting till they can get me loaded and on my way to Iowa.

Sitting in a rest area in Ohio, 1000 mile run with 4 days to get it there so I am in no rush as usual. Have a meeting once I get home, but have still been looking at other options, not sure I want to go to slammin' doors to make more money or not.

We don't have power here in Northeast Indiana. They say we might be powerless until Wednesday. Saw 3 trucks blown on their side on I-469 by US30. (right next to where I had to relay my trailer.) Heard we had 70-90mph gusts. If I'd have known that I
might have shut down and delivered today. Man, luckily I had a flat with a 44k coil. Didn't hit me too bad, tried getting my tarp though.

Found out my new temp. FM puts the phone to voice mail so I can't get to Night/weekend dispatch to find out about my delivery time. Of course there are ways around that, but, I guess that kinda screws up the old "I believe in trucks not sitting and plenty of communication" speach I got Monday. At least I get plenty of time to relax working for Roehl.

That's awesome, who knew my opinion carried so much weight.

It also narrows down the options since I sat at the end of row so only one person sat right next to me.
