Sitting at the clinic waiting to get my pre-employment drug screen.
DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
At the sky hook in Illinois on i270, exit 6b.
Gotta love those "protect your cdl, cdl insurance" people at the truck stops. You tell them no, they say a rude comment. He called me Tex....cuz I was wearing a cowboy hat I suppose. Good way for me to not talk to him haha
Picked up 5 coils eye to the sky from precoated metals in granite city. Heading to mauston, wi. I swear in flatbed my only stomping ground has been i55 or i65 lol

Picking up a load here in Pleasant Prairie, WI going to Cedar Falls, IA. My preloaded trailer was not preloaded. Oh well. I dropped the trailer in the door and parked on the other side of the yard. I have 5 hours of drive time tomorrow to get it there by noon and I have 6 hours left on my 70 hour clock. Hmm, I don't think I'll be doing anything tomorrow afternoon besides getting a nice long nap! Last week was a big one. From Thursday - Thursday I ran 3650 miles. Got it all scanned in today. I usually run 2400 - 2800, so this was a really wild and busy week. I was hoping to get a reset so I could start the weekend with a fresh 70, but I guess Roehl had other plans.

telecommunications cable on wooden spools takes chain or straps. i prefer chain, because the holes have grease in them, and it gets on the straps permanently.
i carry 18-20 chains, and at the legally required 2 tiedowns per reel, that's 9-10 reels, or 18-20 if they're doubled across the truck.
i did seven reels the other day, and it took 14 chains. yesterday i saw a prysmian load at gary with 33 reels-- 16 paired and one single. he had 34 tiedowns on that load, chains and straps.
20 is the max number of chains i can get into the new deathstar locker. -
Sitting in Marshfield. Deliver at 0700 in Marshfield. Oh, and getting 4 new tires on my trailer. Seems to be mismatched tires on the Driver Side rear tandems (I told the guy in Iron Mountain, but he said it was OK
) and the front tandems D/S were toast. So as I sit here getting ready for a shower, my trailer sits in their bay waiting for new tires. Guess I'll pick it up in the morning, deliver, and then come right back to turn in my truck..........
FOR SERVICE!
I'm not out of here yet, but have to admit I am looking.
skyviper73 Thanks this. -
Sitting at home, due out tomorrow but don't have a load yet. Hope they don't find me a load till Monday, should be ready to put in my notice by then.
