Sitting at the Wabash trailer plant in Lafayette,IN. They cancelled my preplan so here I sit with a brand new trailer. Has that trailer tail thing on it too.

Looks like you are in my wake again - I was just there last week lol. I got lucky though - showed up early and no line - they got me right in. Hope you get (got) moving soon.

Unloaded first thing this morning after doing a 34 reset at the Baltimore TA travel plaza. Since this was fairly close to home, my uncle came and picked me up Sunday and we surprised my Mom with cake and ice cream for her 76th birthday.

After unloading at 0800, got an assignment to pick up a sports floor in Washington DC next to RFK Stadium. The load notes said 2100 pick up... hmmm.... called shipper - they said the event is over and can be loaded on arrival...

Showed up at 1100 and learned there were two events - one outside over the weekend - that one was over and did have a floor - but that's not my load. My floor is inside and being used for basketball clinics as we speak. They are supposed to end at 1830 and they might be able to load me at 2000.

FM said I would get detention pay since there was confusion and they told me to come down.

My 10-hour break will be up by the time I get loaded but I don't want to drive at night. So I plan to sleep here and get up early to attempt the ~600 mile drive tomorrow (almost all interstate - should work unless there is a major construction/traffic delay). Then unload either late afternoon tomorrow or first thing Wednesday.

Yeah I got here with 3 other trucks waiting. So not bad. About 30 minutes into waiting about 12 more trucks come in so thank goodness.

I have to shut down here though, I hope I can make charlotte with the amount of time I have left on my 70 (2hrs). I'll be pushing it but I'm going to roll the dice. My FM told me if I can make it he will send me home with a relay that can meet me there. Otherwise it's off to IL.

Then he adds "But don't run illegal because that's not what I'm telling you to do.". He just cracks me up, my FM is a great guy!

Got loaded in Gardena, CA on Tuesday at the same place I delivered to. Then headed up to Bakersfield, CA so I could see some family and reset at my grandmas house. Thanks to Roehl for letting me go up that way. Hadn't been back since I moved from there like 5 years ago. In Cottage Grove. Picked up a relay that's delivering in Evansville, WI in the morning. Need to get into the shop. Tensioner broke again this morning and ripped my belt in half. At least the apu is still running while the truck is so I can get some air while driving.

Still at dollar general DC in statesville KY. Got unloaded at 5pm appt. Previously at the shipper for this load in edwardsville IL was supposed to be pldtrl. Wasn't started so it was a live load. I guess they got into a hurry and put a pallet with 3 boxes, in which dollar general rejected, and was supposed to put on 60 cases instead. On top of that my apu alternator quit working after I realized that my batteries were dead. Got a jump and idling. Any ideas to keep it idling FL Columbia through the night would be great advise. I'm worried ill fall asleep and the truck will shut off and batteries will die and leave me stranded. Heading to ellenhood from Tennessee p/u tomorrow

set your trailer brakes....chock the tires if you can...and release the tractor brakes.....that should keep you idling...if that doesn't try wedging the accelerator til you get just about 1k on the RPMs....you should be able to keep her running all night then...

If you have a Columbia, try what mic said. If that doesn't work, try idling the engine, when the check engine light flashes on the dash indicating it's about to shutdown, push the clutch to the floor. That always kept my Columbia idling.

I had the tractor breaks in and trl out and while unloading once I got passed the inter trip idle she was ok. I went to the performance section on the qualcomm and waited for it to say long idle on the trip status. I bumped the rpms by wedging my broom in there a lil bit like 200 rpms. If I go 1000 my truck will be way too loud as my Turbo whines loud as it is. I did jam the clutch the the floor with the broom part but I don't want to wear out the clutch brake. I assume I don't know if it will or not. Maintenance said if it shuts off it should be ok and if not call break down tomorrow morning. (Crossing fingers) hope it works out. Thanks for advise guys.
