Id leave my pickup there in the yard but its not the best section of town. Not worth the gamble of it getting broke into or something.

At the yard in Mogadore waiting for, you guessed it, an mt. Due to one of the Drivers in our rotation quitting and the truck is here I decided to come out 2 days early and what did I get to start, the infamous Akron to Gary run. Speaking of Drivers leaving, I think 5 or 6 have left from this yard in the last month or so. One Driver who has been here about 5 years and a couple more who has been here longer than that are ready to pack it up. The main reason that all of them have in common, low miles and being treated like dirt. Maybe Roehl is trying to push out the older Drivers out because they are starting to play games with the other Driver in my rotation, I haven't really quite put it all together yet but I really hope Roehl isn't turning into one of the many companies that only cares about the bottom line and not its Drivers. I guess I will ask my FM if I am next on the list they are going play games with.

I hear ya man. I'm putting in my year but already looking at greener pastures. Just lack the experience.

I'm treated fairly by my FM, the pay ain't keeping me here, its mainly the hometime

Any van national fleet drivers from the northeast out there? I'm thinking of going with Roehl and am from RI. Just wondered what area you get most of your miles in. When I drove for Schneider I was Northeast Regional, so New England, NJ, NY, PA. How's the hometime for national drivers?

I know being from the northeast our reefer division might get you home more often. There's a lot of MA to WI and back

Oh lord Van and Reefer both seem to habit the North East....I spent most of my time at Roehl in the Northeast part of the country considering I was out of Florida at the time.......if you had to choose I would take van....the Reefer division is a little short on the miles part...and big on micro management...due to possiblity of huge cargo claims.......If I had to do it again I would have never went to the reefer side of things.........but now I tug reefer for another company and its GREAT!!!

Thanks to both of you. I don't remember seeing any Roehl trucks in my travels up here which is why I asked. Probably just cuz I wasn't looking. They hire from my area, so must have a presence. I hear they do all 48 but primarily east of I35. Won't mind getting out of Northeast, I'm anxious to see if it's any less of a cluster#$@% out of this area. No question it's tight up here, crowded truckstops but it's what I'm used to.
