So, its Sunday, I am 2 1/2 hours away from delivering and 8 have 6 hours left on my 70 until Tuesday..... What to do....
Oh, and I saved my truck from getting hit this morning. Driver behind me was leaving and released his brakes, but didn't step on brake. Started rolling at my truck. I had just got out and was walking past his truck as he rolled back. "Hey hey hey!". He finally hit brakes about a foot from my trailer. He was 8-10 feet away. Didn't want to deal with that on a Sunday morning.

What a way to start a Sunday! Haven't had a driver do that yet, they came close to taking my nose off while backing but that's about it.

Thanks! Happy Birthday to you as well. I think in my life I've only spent 1 birthday without the family but I was home the next day.

Trust me, on Monday I deliver and I know I'll be taking a van load out of Florida, so I will tell them I need to get back to ellenwood asap and get a flatbed. They gave me this van load to get me home but I told them I don't go home till 9/6, so I figured they'd take this relay off me but no, I still had to get it from ellenwood. I'm the opposite of happy and I'll let them know that tomorrow. If SJ is supposed to be back hopefully he'll get me out from under this van!

Raise a little hell. You're not a van driver.

I already sent a message and called weekend dispatch asking for a preplan or something to ellenwood. Its complete BS that id have to take this trailer and be forced on a lower pay scale just because they need this load moved.

It's Sunday afternoon and I'm in Ellenwood waiting for my relay load to arrive. I've been having some problems with my Qualcomm today though, and messages aren't going through. I'm guessing it may be due to the storm down South. This load is headed to Texas, and I'm really hoping they don't take it off of me and stick me with something going up to the Northeast instead. I've spent WAY too much time in that area of the country lately.

At a rest area in Florida on i95. Just south of Jax.

I went to the ta and pilot earlier to find a spot but there were none, then went to our Jacksonville drop yard and there were no open spaces I could get this trailer backed into. So after an hour of frustration I finally went to the TA on 95 at exit 329 and no parking spots there. There was an open spot but it was blind side back only, I let another driver back into it and helped him. I decided to go to the rest area a mile north of that TA. So I'm here.

My mom and step dad came down from Jax and took me to dinner so I can't complain. Just stinks not getting a shower tonight. They met me at the drop yard then followed me to the ta then to the rest area haha.
