What the heck is FCFS? In my opinion Roehl from a driver perspective went downhill when the dispatchers stopped being the planners.

    First come first serve. (FCFS)

And Meltom, thanks for the advice but shame of it is I already do that. I tell my FM 8/10 times their pickup / delivery info is wrong.

Good example. This load I'm on now, they set it to deliver Friday. But now they realize its closed and built a relay. Not quite understanding how they don't have that information. Do they book the load, go pick it up, and then schedule the delivery? Because if so put in the comments delivery not setup yet so I know and not blindly heading there for the time you put on the qualcomm. (we have directions in the computer so I didn't call).

They may think those are just little things but when it comes to me.... That's the biggest thing.

Enough of my ranting though, does no good in productivity to bïtch and complain.

I drive the 14/7 at Roehl. I had my best trip ending Tuesday. Total of 6809 paid miles with 24 hours layover pay. I had great planning, with a pre-plan before getting empty on every load. I've been with Roehl almost 4 years and this was by far the best I've done with them. I told my FM he has a new standard to meet in the future.LOL.

I believe they also run the hometime fleets differently. They may have dedicated planners for y'all. I just know with us its hit and miss on good info vs bad over the qualcomm. One good thing is I finally get out from under this van. I'm unloading now then I was told to head to the Kansas city yard to get a flat.

I always hate to tell someone to look for a new FM, but that sounds like someone isn't doing their job. They should be standing on the planners porch and demanding changes. Early unload is always best, maybe you should have a sit down with your manager and the ops manager and iron some crap out. From what I can tell at this point they are failing to meet your expectations.
