Well two things, we're awesome when it comes to taking care of our drivers...any we could probably save a few bucks if we looked at who stayed in the hotel and how often.

Got the results of my sleep test yesterday and apparently the old saying everyone that has sleep apnea snores is not true. I will be out for a couple months by the look of things. Guess I should have just stayed where I was, 'cause now I can't drive a CMV at all.

With the nanny states and the gov; telling us what to do, eat, and all sorts of test this is going to determine what jobs we can have and not have? All the sudden sleep apnea becomes an issue? Was apnea a problem 10, 20, 30 years age. Did it really affect a truckers ability to drive. Maybe a few? What next, AGE?

Moderate to severe sleep apnea is a disqualifiying condition, I was diagnosed with mild to moderate, so my current carrier and Roehl won't let me drive till I have 30 days compliance with a cpap, although legally I could drive, companies won't let me, don't blame them have to CYA.

Just another example of over regulation by good ol' Uncle Sam....Don't forget there are a whole bunch of special intrest groups in DC that see trucks on the road as nothing but an inconvinance, and an eye and ear soar....For example I35 E through Saint Paul Mn, is a no fly zone for trucks, not because there are low bridges, or any legitamit reason, it's just because the people that live in that area don't want to hear the trucks on the highway:biggrin_25510:

I saw a sign on I-80 just before the IA/IL state line (IA side) that said "Engine Break Ordinance Enforced". No exit ramp there, nothing. Then I noticed a housing development of high end houses nearby. Guess the sign is just for them. Gave them a little engine break to sooth them. :)
