I loved lanterns rant about night and weekend.....funny thing is our night and weekend is one guy....or girl.....and they aint there after midnight during the week or noon on the weekends.......and they are AWESOME!!! mostly because they drove....and most of us are already planned through the weekend...and we dont unload at those times and if we are empty by then we already have a plan waiting.......so meh....

Good luck lantern on your endeavors........and I am lightly jealous......I am kinda wanting to own my own truck...but I want the divorce to be done before I every decide to do that....(and unfortunately it probably wouldn't be with Roehl albiet it is tempting...)...I have looked at Mels Company if I decide to lease....

 

That is definitely one of the things that we do right. Nice equipment and a butt load of miles, our numbers are now under control also, so you'll probably see things like pre pass coming soon.

 

In cartersville ga TA. Was thinking about Ellenhood then found out this place has 5 different restaurants. Fast food and country pride. I think I'll pass on having the squirts tonight so fast food it is. Plus I don't want to chance Ellenwood's tv to get the sc vs LSU game. Here it would be a toss up between that and law n order so ill take my chances here. Should be at the house tomorrow afternoon and Monday night deliver my load in Orlando. Good times.

 

Happy B-Day Diesel. At the TA in Fultonville, NY. Thats right I am back in the Albany area again. I came out of Mogadore early this morning and delivered to the Walmart DC in Johnstown, NY. Found an mt. I start doing my walk around after I hooked up only to find one trailer tire destroyed. Really??? So I crawl over here and end up getting 2 tires replaced. I really wanted to pick up my next load. I guess I will have to just hammer it to Hinckley, OH tomorrow.

 

At the rent-a-terminal Bensalem, PA travel plaza. Only my 2nd time here - last time was a drop & hook - this time doing a reset and layover before Monday 1000 delivery 10 miles N on I-95. Many trucks here on the weekend but very few drivers. Looking forward to the relative quiet as compared to regular truck stops.

(it has been a while since I posted so a little catch up...lol)

 

Breaking at Blue Heron Plaza on OHTP WB. Bring a raincoat. At least its not freezing cold... yet.

 

Oh yeah thanks for reminding me Perpetual. I knew I kept forgetting something....Welcome back Treefork. At least now Gary will at be somewhat bearable when you are shut down there. Lol!

 

I was just looking at the weather, Don't know where all you guys/gals are but there's some NASTY "T" storms pounding Tornado Alley, and reaching pretty far north, so even if your not close to this mess think about your fellow trucker, If they are in harms way giv them a heads up.

 

The worst thing I've had to deal with on the I-80 corridor is heavy snow, but in the less likely event of severe weather I believe the maintenance hallways (near the showers) are the designated shelters at the Ohio plazas

 

If you get a chance try that food vendor Philly cheesesteak best I ever had
