I really liked the 13speed in the 9900i truck 1557. I agree about the less shifting part.
I'm on 94 in wisconsin at a rest area somewhere around the 41 mile marker or so. Heading back to marshfield. -
This week's adventures continue unabated. Untarp/unsecure/unload then load/secure/tarp every day since Monday.
I think I remember seeing a recent post (from Treefork maybe?) saying it was his first time getting a preloaded trailer at Ghent. I have been there about 6 times in the last 6 months and every other time except today was a preload. Today was a 2-stage live load - once for a thin 1-ton plate of stainless and again for 3 coils. Considering all the back and forth it went fairly smoothly. Didn't get very far afterward since I had to go from Indy to Georgetown, KY this morning and then another 1.5 hrs to get to Ghent.
Now at the Flying J near the I-71/I-75 split. Relaying this load to Gary and then looking forward to a weekend run to hometime. -
Yea ill call my fm about the pay thing I'm in gibson city il got unloaded with 46 min left on the 14 so I'm sleeping at the consignee yay lol picking up tomorrow at 1300 in rossville headed to Marion in I hope they start giving me loads over 500 miles soon this is my third so I know there making sure I can get there blah blah blah but really all three under 500 an the last one was like 244 ahhhhhh

Spliting gears....I'm thankful for now to be getting my 10 speed shifting down pretty good......Lantern you go right on enjoying that 13

Nah I used to get preloads there a lot. I was there on Monday to get 4 coils and from bay 1 to bay 4 took 4 hours. Got stuck there.
I wish I was running like you are, used to do that non stop on Midwest regional. My first week back has been pretty dismal milewise so far. -
I agree pirate splitting gears is not for me lolPirate Trucker XOXX Thanks this.
-
Yeah, Where I'm new to all that trucking brings.....Spliting/off the fuel/flip a button/on the fuel/pre-select/dubble clutch(or float)/shift......and thats just really one gear to the next.......Now start the same thing all over again to get to the next gear.......WAY to much for me to think about, while keeping up with eveything else going on around the truck......maybe later....but not now.
-
If they haven't been checking them before I doubt they will start now.
-
Really? I would think that if someone as simple as checking your equipment could help me to get a raise I'd do it. Do they put it back on the last driver if he didn't report it? They should, there should be like a window of time that it falls to the previous driver....yeah, I like this.
