Nice.
Looks like the same model of knuckleboom log loader that I had a few weeks ago. I have to say I liked doing the overweight/permit thing. Made me start thinking about getting into the specialized fleet at some point...Lantern Thanks this. -
Lantern bro I still love the stacks on that thing lol she's a beauty lol
StevenLantern Thanks this. -
Lantern-SWEET!!! Gotta love them stacks.
Lantern Thanks this. -
that's the one. i wasn't given a permit for tennessee until i was sitting at a truck stop on the border and called in for the permit, so i didn't know the load was outlaw until i got the permit. nobody even mentioned that to me. i found it out by myself by reading the paperwork.
it's a low risk violation, but it is not legal, and it isn't illegal by accident-- it's run that way on purpose to save a buck by crossing tennessee straight down instead of going around an admittedly brain dead detour.
not all of them are overweight-- perpetual had one that was fine. but some i am told are too long . you just have to see what it is, and not trust th epermit department to give you a legal route. -
Yup. I had to stop at the Flying J on US 41 and wait for my permits. When they came in I read them and was like what the fudge?
Oh and they wouldn't send me provisions. They keep telling me "Well TN, KY, AL don't have provisions"... Well maybe they don't but I could of swore I got a permit from KY and it had a provision sheet with it. Maybe I'm wrong but what a bad experience.
Thanks -LLL-! -
Yea I saw you hooked up at the yard, didn't know that was you this past week.
-
Ky and tn have the provisions on the permits. No exterior provisions needed. I suggest buying one of these

It will tell you in what states the sun rises and sets, where the provisions are or if they are on the permit, and a whole ton of extremely important and useful info

Yeah I was zipping all over the place with this load at the terminal. Scaled it, then forgot the paperwork went back to get it, then needed my tarps so got them off my dropped trailer, then back to the main office where I sat FOREVER waiting for permits for the covering FM to come out with such a magical number of permits... (One permit for WI)
And DrtyD maybe I should.. (LONG DRAMATIC PAUSE)
Go buy one of those handy dandy notebooks.
But maybe I'm not that smart.. Either way, I shall get one. -
Lol, I got mine at the Iowa 80. They should have them at most truckstops though.
