Sorry I was a few days behind with this moving stuff...yes tree you got that right...I was based out of Wisconsin when I hired on....I used Florida as a home state....until recently...I just moved back to Iowa and was in jax this week getting stuff out of storage.....
Let's just say I am glad that I did learn some securement from the flatbedders that I know...otherwise my car would have caused one hell of a mess during Atlanta rush hour.......the nylon webbing that holds the tires came loose on one side...luckily I properly attached some safety chains cause I just didn't trust it......plus I added a ratchet strap through the front wishbones....so my car wasn't going to go no where fast....just a piece of advice...use an actual trailer...this car dolly experience is a pain...

Sitting in Neenah. Waiting for an OD load for the weekend.
My last week has been interesting. Started with an OD load. Got pulled in in GA at the scale house. Inspection GOOD Violations, ONE. I apparently started 20 minutes too early based on the permit. DOH! It was already SUNNY, but in GA it's 30 mins AFTER sunrise. Violations says 9 mins too early. OUCH
On Wednesday I saw two different Big truck accidents. I-80 in Ohio, mm114. One truck rear ended another and actually knocked off the cab from the chassis. I looked up the news and the driver was actually OK. Only minor scrapes on his head. The driver who got rear ended was transported to hospital. Neck and back pains.
Later in IN, another big truck accident. Driver drove off the road and lost his trailer. No other details there.
Oh, had Lantern behind me as we left Gary and then met him again in Marshfield along with DrtyDiesel. -
Sitting in Monee, IL. Delivered this am in Manhattan, IL and lets just say the route the consignee told me to take was NOT a good truck route. lol
Going to get some McD's. went in about 20 minutes ago and it was still breakfast for 5 more minutes.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Well whenever they are done cleaning my truck from the previous owner i get a 2012 Prostar. Apparently the previous driver was a slob, so maintence was like you do not even want to look in it right now. Told me he has to basicly gut the cab today. but did promise it would be ready tonight, so one more night in the hotel on the company.
DrtyDiesel, skyviper73 and Treefork Thank this. -

At the Pilot, exit 5 on I20 in GA. I deliver in East Point in the morning then pick up in Stone Mountain going to Ft. Smith, AR for Monday morning. Anyway, so I stopped at the welcome center about 4 miles ago and there were "No Overnight Parking" signs all over, even every 20 feet in the truck parking area. What the heck is up with that? There was room for nearly 50 trucks, but there were only 2 parked there and I left because of the signs. Usually there are signs reminding drivers that they need 10 hours rest before driving again, but I guess in GA they just want all the truck drivers driving tired. STUPID!
