you should appreciate that.
i'm told that USA truck hands you a bucket full of soapy water and a rag when you get assigned a used tractor.

In south Carolina some rest areas say "no overnight parking" in the truck section, but I was told by an attendant there that it means no parking more than 24 hours. You can take your 10, just not your 34.

Usually those signs bother me..... But in all reality what are they going to tell you? Oh move your truck because this parking space is for paying customers? I stayed at the one in GA on I-85 coming from Alabama. Had abunch of signs saying 2 hour limit... dumb. I'd of just taken a chance. Then again I'm a dare devil!
Oh and about the truck cleaning.. The marshfield guy complained about my truck... I'm not a slob, you can sit in my truck right now and you won't find anything messy or smelling bad unless I had chinese food that night, plus that truck they gave me smelled bad, wasn't vacuumed, all around disgusting!
The only thing he had a right to complain about was the 40 straps I had and the crazy amount of equipment, but those mechanics wouldn't let me swap it into my new truck so wtf am I to do? The guy who cleans trucks at Marshfield does do a darn good job though! Or atleast when he did this truck he did. I got inside my old truck with the new driver in it and the guy who cleaned it went all out even cleaned the inside of the door on the passenger side (which I never had touched or put anything in)..
Me... I'm just being me, the lady killer, load builder, trucker that I am.skyviper73 Thanks this. -
I Went and looked at the outside of the truck seemed in good condition. The opertaions manager at phoenix felt horrible for yanking me from the hotel to only find out the truck was not ready. Supposedly the guy that had it either quit yesterday or got fired which i dont know. but everyone their just said theirs a good story tied to the truck.

Ever hear about the one where the Roehl driver flipped the truck on a exit because he was in the back of his cab making a sandwich with cruise on?
Or the female driver who had a camera and got fired because she used a vibrator in her truck?
Or the one where a brand new driver got a brand new prostar, took it home and put it up against a power poles?
Or the one where a dispatcher back handed a driver for doing push ups under the 5 second rules?
Or the one where the driver had the bendix system ripped out because a "deer" hit him?
Or the one where Rick Roehl sends all the drivers a Media Message saying how Mitt Romney is best for this country?
Idk.. Heard alot of stories.. Hard to decipher the true stories from the fake ones.
(not sharing my political views... just posting a "random" comment (maybe)) -
I know storys are just storys but kinda funny how everyone was talking of the truck.

Picked up a 28,000 pound wheeled boom lift this morning in Shippensburg, PA headed for Lafayette, IN. Made it to the TA near Dayton, Ohio before running out of hours. Destination is 2.5 hours away and it looks like I can make it there 48 hours ahead of time for extra layover pay. My FM sent me a note sort of apologizing for putting me in a layover after just coming off hometime. Said they would try to get me out west soon to make up for it.

I just think some of the stories drivers come up with are just wow.. I'm typically thinking of crazy random stuff to say... but these guys top the cake..
