This is where problems start, with preformance based pay structures....

I would assume everything is still coded. If not driver accountable than no ding. I'm just guessing, might be wrong. Hope y'all have good dispatchers that want to fight for you.

My FM told me we only get dinged if it was our fault. Things that are out of our hands like insane traffic jams or extreme weather aren't supposed to count against us.

My load out I was awakened by my fm this morning at 715 saying be in Lakeland at 900 for a live load. So I got moving woke up my girl an the kid til them get moving. Out the door and literally across the street I went to my truck. Wrote everything down and started my day at 800. I told him I won't make it he said do the best u can. Arrived at 1000 which was lucky for Orlando, Disney tourist traffic. I don't think it counted against me for being late. He didn't mention it, plus night/wkend dispatch didn't let me know I had a pre plan for the load out like how the usually do the night before. Heading to Fayetteville nc for delivery in Latta sc FJ

As long as you let them know. The guys that show up two hours late and say "I hit traffic and a tornado yesterday", but never let anyone know they were behind, those are the guys getting dinged. I think most fm's are pretty reasonable with that stuff as long as they aren't surprised with it. "Hey my appt is in 10 minutes... I'm going to be 6 hours late." :)

My old FM was telling me that he had guys that would shut down with little snow flurries. I wonder if that counts as extreme weather. He sounded annoyed by it but the way he said it made it seem as if there was really nothing he could do about it.
