Basicly after they calmed down i got to Verify that what i wanted to do was right. I had the right idea i just wanted verification. The other driver was really good about it. He listened to me than said yep you have the right idea. And actully helped me out some. its nice to know a few drivers out there are more than willing to listen and help.

Yeah I really wanted to do a coil in training, that didn't happen though. Its all good just more curious when the actull delivery appointment is now. Is it still friday or tomorrow. The trip got cut in half for mileage.

I have decided that I don't care about the crazy new pay program. I was hired at .40 cpm and they have me at .41 cpm now after the new program went into effect. If I don't maintain a level 8, I lose money. I told them that I was hired at .40 cpm and if I don't wreck the truck and I'm not late, I run all the miles they give me and don't do anything different than what I have always done, and my pay drops below what I was hired at, I will leave. If I do nothing wrong, I don't expect a paycut! I lose money, THEY LOSE A DRIVER! So, I'm not going to worry about it until June when they say it can change. Plenty of companies looking for experienced drivers, and most of them don't have a pay program that is more complicated than graduate level quantum physics! No more quarterly bonus. No more Christmas Bonus (Production Bonus). The extra cent per mile DOES NOT MAKE UP FOR 3.5 CPM IN LOST BONUSES! Your Choice Pay Plan = Less Money In Your Pocket!

As I understand it you cannot drop below your base rate (which in your case is .40).

I will wait until June to pass judgement concerning that. But we still are losing our quarterly and yearly bonus. The extra cent doesn't make up for those lost bonuses. They said I could get my TWIC and Hazmat and that would help, but if I don't, I lose money. I was happy before, I guess they figured out that the new system was better for the company.

Haven't sat down yet for pay meeting, but this is what I get from it. Do your job and don't worry about it. You can only control what you do. The rest is up to LUCK. Why luck? Getting miles, tarp, OD loads, etc... Is based on where you are and what your FM gives you.
I go over 100K miles for the year on Friday. No where near the 120K that was needed in the past for full bonus. Did I take vacation, nope. Did I turn down loads, nope. Met a driver a few months back that got his new truck at the same time I did. He already had 20K more miles than I did. Did he stay out months at a time, nope. Out and back every two weeks. Just got better loads with more miles. LUCK!
So in my humble opinion, control what you can and don't worry about what you can't. All that worrying is just going to give you an ulcer!

Had a 250 mile run today. started in pitsburg end in middleton oh. Tons of #### went wrong in this load. The worst was shotty directions from the shipper. got lost in pitsburg. so much traffic today took 9 hours for me to travel 250 miles. then to top the #### sunday off had a hour and a half left on my clock and tried to find parking at a truck stop. While trying to find a spot a cluster #### started around me of crazy drivers trying to park. turned into a crazy epic cluster ####. took about 45 minutes to go to the next row of parking. Luckily there was another truck stop a few miles away that has lots of parking still. well i havent had a low mile load or a crazy day where everything went wrong for awhile. so tomorow back to long hauls and no traffic.

Ain't sleepin unless you hear loud train horns and the mechanics at Gary horsing around on the yard trucks with the air horns. (They did it twice, both time as I was almost asleep) figured I just stay up another hour and watch a movie which really had me lost.

Deadhead miles.. Any one seen this? I don't understand the point of the movie!! What the heck!

Luckily I can catch a good amount of zzz's no rushing tomorrow!

Really the only point is just to follow the guy on his crazy adventure. No real story plot lol
