Agreed Tank i hate this stupid computer. Hard brake light goes off coming to a stop light. Cause i over reacted. Speed limit was 55 i was already coasting 40-45 light went yellow red about that fast. Hit the brakes light goes off. FM sayz you should have been slowing down more really i was already 10-15 mph under the posted limit. I asked if i should stop at all green lights and wait for a fresh green light. Lets see them come out here and drive in this mess and we can tell them how to drive the truck. B. S.

Hey tank I agree man. I've gone down us65 from Missouri into Arkansas. I too do not recommend that route and will avoid the road at all costs. I don't care if I get an out of route, that road is freaking ridiculous

Same thing happened to me but speed limit was 35 and i was going just under 30 becouse it was a stale green light. It changed to red right as i was at that point where you have to decide to break or go. i decided the safest option was to break and got a hard break. i feel like i pushed on the break much harder other times then that though. i was going so freaking slow already. guess if i see a stale green light from now on im going to go 10 mph regardless of the speed limit and be a problem for traffic. this was a few months ago and luckly never heard anything about it.

I've learned the point of no return on some lights, when I get to a certain point, it's just keep going. I do that because one time, fully loaded, I tried to stop in time. I ended up stopped halfway in the intersection. Never again.

Back in Gary. No time to make it to Marshfield today so I guess I'll stay here.

Happy Thanksgiving All! I was supposed to be home today. Not. The load I was going to get wasn't ready. So here I sit at the Loves in St. Joseph, MO waiting to deliver to the Menard's at 0500 in the morning. I was supposed to deliver today, but it's Thanksgiving and Menard's is closed. You would think that Customer Service or the Planners would have checked on that before having me run the load and scheduling me to deliver on a holiday.

Best yet, the Arby's is closed for the holiday too. Soooooo, instead of having a nice Thanksgiving roast turkey at home I'm left with truck stop roller dogs. I love this job! NOT HAPPY! :biggrin_25510:

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

sitting at the TA in Oak Grove,MO stuffed with a turkey dinner that was not too shabby considering.

this is the first holiday meal in 48 years that i am not enjoying my moms' awesome turkey n fixins....alas

my second load (EVAR!) i left kraft in northern NY and headed for albany for a load of paper. they sent me (and it turns out the fellow roehl driver who left as i arrived) THROUGH the adirondacks via some nasty roads, literally, as i told dispatch afterwards "im sure whatever program you guys use said the speed limit was generally 50+, and it was. honestly i would not drive my POV at those speeds on those roads, switchbacks, potholes, yellow panic curve signs every 200 feet with awesome numbers down around 30mph. stupid route.

whew, thanks Tank, guess i been holdin that in lmao

^^fully agree, even if im unfamiliar if im within 1.5 truck lengths (over say 35-40mph) i dont even slow down if it goes yellow
