Shut down on I80 in Indiana service plaza. Got a question my pro star is all of sudden been falling off on mpg's. This month is when it started i haven't gotten out of the 6's. Usually i am in the 7's or i dip to high 6 and then back up. Soooo any ideas my driving habbits are the same and im still running the same area. Could it be this winter fuel, i wonder if the DPF filter needs a cleaning i got 113k on her. Any ideas?????

I went through that 2 months ago after 3.5 years with Roehl. Had 2 or 3 good weeks for miles then 2 or 3 bad weeks, for a long time. A driver should not have to ask his fleet manager for more miles. My wife would ride with me and we would stay out 3 or 4 weeks at a time, could not use hometime earned for staying out that long cause of low miles. Am now with a company 16 miles from home so truck stays at the terminal on weekends and holidays. It is a different type of running than with Roehl, mid west region witih a little venture in to New York once in a while. I hate change, but this one seems to be working out better as I get used to shorter runs. Love being home every weekend, and having consistent miles to pay bills. Good luck in your new endeavor.

Sitting at the ONroute in Woodcock, ON. Had some fun in the UP this morning with SNOW!!!! Truck, trailer and tarps look like $$$$! (And that isn't money!) :biggrin_2559:

Yesterday I delivered in Green Bay and then got a preload out of Iron Mountain heading to Memphis, TN. Start there and then my QC goes nuts. Hit some buttons to hear what it is... Load Cancellation! New load going to Canada. I was the only driver in the area (BS) that could go to Canada, so I get this load and lost my Memphis load. Oh well, Canada pay, and THREE stops with tarping. That'll pay very nicely!

Lantern, thought I had run into you in Iron Mountain. Same type truck and a lease owner, but don't think it was your truck. (could be wrong) This truck was getting a radiator replaced.....

Three drops tomorrow and then see what gets me back to the States.

Well let's clarify.... Being out west with Roehl sucks. If you are not out of Phoenix, they don't know how to use you when you get out West. It doesn't make any sense to me, but it happens.
As for repairs, seems like getting a repair in Phoenix apparently SUCKS. Getting a repair in the Graveyard (Gary) sucks.. (unless you know someone and pull some strings) I've heard Ellenwood sucks too, but I have never been there so not sure if true or not. I usually get repaired out of Marshfield or Appleton and I never have an issue, other than they don't always fix the problem, but then again that could happen anywhere.

Good luck on his new adventure! Sometimes you just need to move on. Keep in touch with how he's doing with the new company.

Well, tis the season. I'm outta here too! I'm leaving Denver in the morning heading to Marshfield to turn the truck in. Sooooo tired of not getting home on time,,,, EVER! I am however heading off to a new adventure that will either make a real man out of me or kill me in the process. I got hired by the company that delivers groceries to Aspen, Vail, Steamboat, Kremling, ect. Two lane mountain roads. Fourteen thousand foot summits. Ice, snow, and grades so steep you can hardly stand on them. Chains, sanders, and lots of good luck to stay on the road. Hmmm,, I must be a total sucker for money, because for what they're paying I might be able to retire in a few years,,, that is if I live through the experience. In all seriousness I am looking forward to a new challenge in driving. So farewell cruel Roehl, I hardly knew thee!
